Hallo,
hier mal eine Frage an echte Technik-Spezialisten, die ich
vorher schon in einer englischsprachigen Newsgroup gepostet
habe.
Die Übersetzung habe ich mir gespart, ich hoffe, ich habe es
einfach genug gehalten.

Hello,
I am encountering a problem: I got a new US Robotics
Message Modem with buildt-in-answering-machine. I decided
not to use the unprofessionelly spoken sundfiles that came
with the modem, but to make better ones with my own voice.
Everything worked fine, even the converting into WAV, using
PCM-encoding, 11025 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono, as appropriate.
But the files I loaded into the modem, switched to
independent mode (the computer is off and the modem manages
the incoming calls), sound like s...
Its ist just scratchy noise, not similar to the original
sound at all.
Played by Samplitude or Media Player, they sound as they
are supposed to.
Has anyone of you any idea of what's going wrong here?
Kindest regards,
CJB
