Hello All,
I was wondering if you'd like to share some of your pet peeve spelling errors from music (theory) students.
There's got to be a few good ones floating around out there. Who knows, maybe even a few music students will read this and catch their own mistakes.
These are the things that drive me crazy wehn (whoops!) I grade a paper or assignment. I'm not talking about chord spellings or anything like that - just word missppellings (and everyone makes them, but these are usually consistent).
My number one:
base (instead of bass)
Then there's
symbols or symbals (instead of cymbals)
voise (instead of voice)
cord (instead of chord)
Of course I'm not immune to this. I still can't spell arpeggio and appogiatura (are those right?). Accaciatura, forget it!
Feel free to add if you like.
Mir fällt in unserem Forum häufig das falsche Wort "standart" auf, anstatt richtig "Standard".
Ich weiß, wir sind nur Techniker, da soll die Schreibweise ja keine Bedeutung haben.
Wichtiger ist druckvoller Sound :-) aber von von der bass drum.
