Hallo Rainer,

Hi Gerhard-
It is possible, but you would need to make a few small component changes to deal with the current.
Each relay board draws a max of 140mA (20mA per relay), so 12x140mA = 1.68A. The LM7805 we are using for the power supply can handle 1A max. This could be changed to a high current model, such as the 78T05, which can handle 3A, same package and pinouts. Also, the driver transistors (BC546) can only handle 100mA. Changing them for BC548 (500mA, same pinout) solves that problem.
If you are interested, we can even modify a kit for you with these values.
Thanks-

Hi again-
Actually, I think with to-92 package drivers (BJT or FET) we are going to be limited by maximum junction power disapation to 1W or less. Because of this, you would need to use two controller boards, one as master (with PIC) and one as slave, providing a second set of driver transistors. If you were to use 3 controller boards in this configuration, you could use standard kit parts.
Which leads to another variation. In response to some questions about providing independent/master volume control for multi-channel setups, Russ came up with a circuit he calls the Perch, which is discribed here:
